Send alerts to Slack
An Admin connects or disconnects the account’s Slack integration. An Editor or Admin can configure alert channels using an existing connection.
- Select the intended Pingstack account.
- Choose Connect Slack and complete Slack’s authorization flow for the intended workspace.
- Open a notification group and create a Slack channel.
- Select a channel offered by the connected workspace and save.
- For a private channel, invite the Pingstack bot first.
- Verify the welcome message and then a controlled incident/recovery.
The welcome message confirms channel setup, not that a check routes to it. Assign the notification group to the desired checks.
Use the connected workspace name to avoid sending operational details to the wrong organization. Channel selection must correspond to a known channel available to the bot; a typed name or unknown identifier is not a substitute.
Disconnecting Slack removes the account’s integration path. Review Slack notification channels and set an alternative delivery method before disconnecting a workspace relied on for alerts.
If delivery fails, inspect bot membership, authorization and notification history.
