Schedule alert recipients
Schedules apply to a member or roster assignment in a notification group. They do not change when checks run or how group channels deliver.
| Option | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Mode | Always or custom; Always ignores custom timing |
| Days | Select eligible weekdays; presets include weekdays and every day |
| All day | Receive throughout the selected days |
| Start/end hour | Whole-hour local range; end cannot precede start |
| Timezone | Interpret day/hour matching in this zone |
| Repeat | Form offers every week through every eight weeks |
| Anchor date | Required when repeat interval is more than one week |
- Open the member or roster schedule from its notification group.
- Choose Custom and select the relevant days.
- Choose all day or a local hour range and timezone.
- For multi-week schedules, select a repeat interval and an anchor date.
- Review the summary and save.
For weekday coverage, start with every week, Monday-Friday, all day or the intended whole-hour range. Review hour boundaries carefully: these are hour-granularity matching rules, not arbitrary minute-based shifts.
The timezone matters around daylight-saving changes. Use the recipient’s zone for local working hours, or UTC if that is how your team plans coverage. Split overnight coverage across appropriate assignments rather than entering an end hour earlier than the start.
An incident can begin while no user is on schedule. This does not suspend monitoring or promise a delayed user alert when the next shift starts. Keep an always-available group channel if continuous delivery is required.
